Executives from SSGC participated in a training session organized by the Petroleum Institute of Pakistan under the auspices of its Executive learning Centre (ELC) on ‘‘Coaching Conversations; Developing Coach-Like Leaders’’. The session was held on the 6th and 7th of March 2018 at the Marriott Hotel, Karachi.
Officials from Byco Petroleum Pakistan Limited, Oil and Gas Development Co. Limited, Pak-Arab Refinery Limited, Pakistan Refinery Limited and Total Parco Pakistan Limited also participated in the two-day training session.
The two-day session was arranged in light of the Expectation Survey carried out by PIP and was conducted by Mr. Qaiser Abbas, a renowned global certified success coach, top corporate trainer in Pakistan, team building trainer and a motivational speaker. He has coached many top officials of the corporate sectors in addition to the superstars of sports, media, science and business.
The inaugural address was given by Muhammad Danish, Senior Manager, Policies and Government Relations, SSGC where he enlightened the participants with his vision on leadership.
The session provided participants with detailed learning models that focused on creating coach-like leaders to turn ordinary conversations into more meaningful and result oriented coaching dialogue that will help their organizations create a ‘coaching culture’ based on the principles of understanding, collaboration and growth resulting in better management and efficiency. A variety of approaches – presentation, games, videos, discussion etc. were used to equip leaders with the hands on coaching knowledge, skill and practices.
Amir Mumtaz Khan, Acting Senior General Manager – General Services participated from SSGC and appreciated the efforts of PIP for the members and industry.
The session ended with the plaque distribution ceremony to the instructor. Certificates of participation were awarded to each participants by Qaiser Abbas assisted by Muhammad Danish and Nusratullah Khan, Director and Lead Consultant HR Plus).
