SSGC will complete the 24-inch diameter gas pipeline from Shikarpur to Jacobabad in Sindh, covering a distance of 34 kms, by October 31, 2017.
After the completion of the project, natural gas supply to Quetta and other districts of Balochistan is expected to improve.
The company is executing a number of projects to augment its existing transmission network, under which eight more gas pipelines are being laid in different areas of Sindh and Balochistan. The eight supply lines of different sizes will cover 126 km distance in various localities of the two provinces.
The Company is currently working on a number of transmission projects to ensure uninterrupted gas supply to the consumers. These projects include:
- 12-inch diameter, 27-km supply line from Palijai to Tando Allahyar,,
- 8-inch diameter, 14-km supply line from Sinjhoro Gas Field to Sanghar,
- 8-inch diameter,11-km supply line from SMS Khairpur to Khairpur
- 6-inch diameter,11-km line from Upstream Halani to TBS Kandiaro,
- 20-inch diameter, 7-km line from DHA Phase-VIII to Dolmen Mall, Clifton Karachi,
- 20-inch diameter, 5-km supply main loop from Korangi to Landhi, Karachi,
- 24-inch diameter, 33-km transmission line from Kathore to Surjani Town Karachi
- 12-inch diameter, 18-km pipeline at Dera Murad Jamali, Balochistan.
