SSGC has intensified its efforts aimed at curbing the nuisance of gas theft by conducting frequent raids on the culprits. Customer Relations Department’s Task Force was back on the road again in January 2017. The Task Force took action against illegal gas connections and gas theft by conducting raids in various localities of Karachi where the miscreants were involved in taking gas directly from supply main. According to an estimate, about 817,789.42 MCF of gas was being stolen that amounts to approximately Rs. 157 million in monetary terms.
