SSGC swept through the 8th National Road Cycling Championship, organized by Pakistan Cycling Federation (PCF) in Karachi DHA Phase-8, by winning 16 medals and emerging victorious. The Company’s male cyclists amassed 4 golds, 2 silver and 5 bronze medals while its female riders won 3 gold and 2 silver medals. SSGC’s men and women cyclists dominated 24-km, 32-km, 48-km, 56-km, 64-km, and 80-km races in both individual and team time trial categories. Gas utility’s Abdul Razzaq, Mohammad Shan, Waleed Ahmed, Ali Ilyas, Rizwan Usman, Aqib Shah, Naeem Ahmed, Abdul Wahab, Rajia Shabbir, Kinza Malik, Asma Jan and Rabia Garib showed their brilliance and stamina in both individual and team time trial categories. Imran Maniar, MD, SSGC praised SSGC cyclists for a commanding show. SSGC’s Secretary Sports and Selection Committee Asif Ansari and President, PCF S. Azhar Ali Shah presented medals to the top 3 riders in various categories.
