Over the last three years, SSGC’s Information Technology (IT) Department has played a pivotal role in consolidating the Company’s expertise in IT. Several initiatives were launched with the objective to automate the operations, reduce paperwork, enhance controls and improve productivity. Few examples of such initiatives are as follows:
- Network controls were increased in Sales and Billing to eliminate unauthorized usage whereas the authorizations were restricted and tagged.
- Over the last three years 1,000 computers and laptops were provided to employees with the aim to ensure that no system in the organization is older than 5 years.
- Upgrades were done to existing ERP and CC&B platforms. Whereas, email system migration was performed from the older ORACLE platform to the more efficient Microsoft Outlook System.
- Implemented the business tools such as EAM System, Attendance Biometric and Complaint Management System.
- Enhanced the efficiency of online bill payment through introduction of additional tools.
