SSGC’s Transmission Division – Key achievements in December 2023

  • 51,833 MMCF gas purchased and 51,659.16 MMCF gas sold along with 28,402.21 MMCF RLNG received and 26,096.27 MMCF RLNG transported to SNGPL with the retention of 933 MMCF and 23430.93 MMCF indigenous gas purchased.
  • A total volume of 54545 mmcf gas safely handled to maintain uninterrupted gas supply, resulting in zero operational liabilities for SSGC.
  • 15 MVAs and 20 SMSs were inspected resulting in a cumulative evaluation of 91 MVAs and 90 SMSs that were diligently surveyed for any potential Leaks.
  • Completed 11 Km of ROW maintenance, bringing the cumulative total to 62 km, and reaching a remarkable 62% completion.
  • Got SIBI Compressor Units in operation for winter load management.
  • “Letter to Proceed” issued for 3rdParty Pressure Safety Valve (PSV) calibration, to maintain compliance and operational safety across compressor stations.
  • Completed a comprehensive coating/direct current voltage gradient survey for assessing the condition pipelines coating, covering a total of 59 km at HQ-I, HQ-2 AND HQ- SIBI sections and a total of 20 km at SOUTH-KARACHI and LOWER SINDH – NAWABSHAH, thus making a cumulative of 214.5 km for transmission and 101.8 km for distribution.
  • Conducted Integrity Assessment for 4 SMSs, exceeding a 50% milestone with cumulative of 64 MVAs/SMSs indicating SSGC’s commitment to ensuring integrity of above-ground steel structures.
  • 5 CP stations installed to ensure the un-interrupted PSP coverage across Quetta.
