Quetta (PR) Sui Southern Gas Company launched its annual winter safety awareness campaign through a fleet march of its service vans that patrolled the Quetta city.
For the last 20 years this campaign is being executed to minimize the loss of precious human lives that are lost due to careless use of gas heaters by highlighting the preventive measures.
SSGC’s Regional General Manager Balochistan Anwar Baloch while talking to the media on this launch said that every year this campaign is executed in winter for public awareness, however it has been noticed that most of the fatal accidents happen due to the carelessness of the users of gas heaters.
He said that the problem of gas pressure has been resolved in the central areas of Quetta city, while the problem of gas pressure has also been solved on Sabzal Road and Sariyaab Road. The demand and supply are equal in the city, he added.
Speaking on the occasion, SSGC’s Spokesperson Salman Ahmed Siddiqui said that there has been a remarkable reduction in the number of deaths of citizens due to this awareness campaign.
He said that the media has been playing an important role as a partner in spreading this important message for which he registered his gratitude for the friends of media fraternity.
