The first phase of the 30′ dia. x 116-km gas transmission pipeline project from Hyderabad to Karachi was inaugurated today by Imran Maniar, MD, SSGC at RS-4 Jhimpir. SSGC’s Technical Services division completed the 1st phase that comprised laying down 30′ dia. x 32-km line from Baran to Jhimpir in Sindh, in a record time of 40 days. The line has been laid to meet the increased demand of SSGC customers. The first segment will increase pipeline capacity to 60 mmcfd and with the completion of all three phases the pipeline will supply around 247 mmcfd gas to the local population. Senior management and departmental heads were present at the inauguration.
