Aggressive prosecution has continued against gas theft cases by the Counter Gas Theft Control Department’s Prosecution Wing Team. Some of the recent successes are as follows:
Gas Utility Court, District West Karachi convicted this week accused Aamir Sohail after payment of Rs.340,100 to SSGC as quantum of loss and fine of Rs. 10,000. FIR was lodged in SSGC Police Station (PS) for direct gas use through service line for commercial purpose.
Gas Utility Court, District West Karachi convicted Muhammad Rafeeq after payment of Rs. 540,600 to SSGC as quantum of loss and fine of Rs. 10,000. FIR was lodged in PS SSGC for direct gas use through service line for commercial purpose.
Hon’able Gas Utility Court, Hyderabad CONVICTED M. Umar Daraz and sentenced him till rising of the Court and imposed a fine of Rs. 5000. The accused has already paid complete quantum of loss of Rs. 1,61,000 to SSGC. FIR was lodged against him for direct use of gas for commercial purpose.
