SSGC is a pioneer in the development of LPG-Air Mix plants that are installed to make synthetic natural gas available to those areas that are far from the Company’s distribution grid. So far, SSGC has installed 6 LPG-Air Mix Plants in its franchise areas of Sindh and Balochistan, the recent one being the plant in Bela (Balochistan) that has a capacity of 1 mmcfd or 50 MMBtu/Hr for serving 3600 customers.
The other plants are in Balochistan’s cities of Gwadar and Awaran (1 mmcfd plant capacity – serving 2,196 and 124 customers, respectively) and Surab and Noshki (2 mmcfd – 1616 and 1,848 customers, resp.) and in Kot Ghulam Mohammad (1 mmcfd – 2,482 customers) in Sindh.
By providing an alternative resource, SNG plants to improve the standard of living of the marginalized communities.
