NEWS Engineer Abdul Hakeem Baloch, State Minister for Railways performed the ground breaking for the supply of gas to a number of villages located in Malir District in Karachi.A0 The ceremony was held on September 18, 2013.A0 Villages that were provided with gas, as part of the Company92s distribution projects, included Haji Faqeer Muhammad Goth, Haji Piral Bagh and Haji Faqeer Muhammed Bagh Bin Qasim Town, Karachi.A0 Because of their remote locations, these villages were for long been deprived of gas. However SSGC fulfilled their long standing demand which will now help in meeting their rising consumption.
The above mentioned projects will involve laying 2.95 km PE pipelines of 180mm and 63mm (PE). Those present on the occasion included Aminullah Khan, SGM (Distribution-South), Shakir Aleem, GM(Sales), Saeed Larik , Nadeem Qayuum, and Syed Irfan Jafri,A0 President SSGCOA.
In his speech, the honorable minister requested SSGC to complete the project on a fast pace of one month.A0 The Minister was presented with ajrak as a token of respect. Ajraks were also presented by the senior SSGC officials.
