Qualification & Experience:

Engineering graduate from HEC recognized university preferably in Metallurgy / Mechanical / Chemical / Electrical / Mechatronics with 2 years of post-qualification experience. Experience of working in Oil & Gas /Public sector shall be preferred. Registration with PEC is mandatory for Engineers.

Responsibilities:

    JOB SUMMARY

    The purpose of this position is to provide assistance in Corrosion Control (CC) activities on pipeline network. The position is also responsible for maintenance of CC systems to ensure integrity of the pipeline network.

     

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Assist in coordination with the relevant government departments/agencies to arrange necessary permissions for carrying out Corrosion Control (CC) jobs.
    • Perform rectification/ maintenance of installed CC stations in accordance with the specified standards.
    • Perform coating and wrapping of pipeline to achieve optimum CC operations.
    • Participate in carrying out field tests including Pipeline Current Mapping (PCM), Close Interval Potential Survey (CIPS), structure potential, Direct Current Voltage Gradient (DCVG), soil resistivity etc.
    • Plan recoating/rectification of pipelines considering the tests/survey results.
    • Assist in survey, design, and data collection.
    • Prepare charts and tables and present the same to management.
    • Prepare CC designs including the use of anode type, quantity, and location; rectifier location, test station locations and other design features on drawings.
    • Assist in installation of sacrificial anode system for pipeline protection against corrosion and conduct post installation survey.
    • Implement policies, procedures and rules regarding corrosion control of assets and undertake required corrosion control work for pipelines and systems.
    • Assist in preparation of survey reports and findings to highlight coating related deterioration.
    • Revalidate the Pipeline Integrity Assessment and identify the vulnerable sections.
    • Plan and coordinate Root-Cause-Analysis (RCA) and Fitness for Service (FFS) assessment and propose replacement plans for pressure equipment and pipeline.
    • Initiate procurement of necessary material and equipment on a timely basis.

    • Assist in monitoring and checking the status of coating of under construction and new pipeline projects.
    • The individual shall ensure compliance to the Enterprise Risk Management Framework enforced in the Company while performing job responsibilities in accordance with his assigned role.
    • The individual shall ensure compliance to the Business Principles and Ethics Policy / Code of Conduct.
    • Undertake any other task assigned by immediate supervisor.
