The position leads Assets Maintenance and Projects Section. Should be capable of multi-tasking to oversee diverse range of activities grouped under various sub-sections such Civil construction projects (Planning, Estimation, budgeting, Tendering process, Project execution, quality monitoring & timely completion), managing teams, ensuring project efficiency, and maintaining high standards of quality and HSE.
- Lead and manage a diverse team of professionals, including project managers, engineers, and construction staff.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to inspire and motivate a Team.
- Co-ordination with Consultants and Contractors for obtaining effective quality and quantity of projects.
- To analyze the requirements and prepare corresponding BOQs / Cost estimates, commensurate to the project requirements.
- Effective decision-making skills and the ability to navigate challenges.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of civil construction projects undertaken by AS Department or monitor those projects of eminence executed through relevant construction Departments.
- Develop project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
- Technically evaluate the bids in accordance with the bid document
- Ensure adherence to project timelines and milestones and standards of workmanship.
- Monitor and control project costs to meet budgetary constraints and arrange for additional requirements.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment and to provide guidance and support to team members where needed.
- Ensure effective communication within the team and with all stakeholders.
- Ensure and maintain safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment
- Ensure contract compliance and resolve any disputes that may arise during the project.
- Implement risk management plans to safeguard project success
- Familiarity with relevant MS Office tools and project management systems
- To perform additional duties as and when assigned by the HoD.
