Qualification & Experience:

Engineering graduate from HEC recognized university with atleast 6 years of experience. PEC registration is mandatory.

Responsibilities:

    The role of this position is to oversee all operations related to machinery and equipment maintenance in the workshop. The role also ensure maintenance activities, ensures compliance with safety regulations, provides technical guidance to staff, and optimizes workshop efficiency. 

     

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    1. Manage all activities in the workshop related to machinery and equipment maintenance, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards, resulting in optimized equipment performance and minimal downtime.
    2. Ensure that repair and maintenance activities meet acceptable service levels at all times, ensuring end user satisfaction and equipment reliability.
    3. Organize and manage the optimal use of tools, materials, and ancillary resources within the workshop, maximizing efficiency and minimizing waste.
    4. Ensure that maintenance and repair work adheres to standard operating procedures and work instructions, maintaining consistency and quality in workshop operations.
    5. Schedule and plan preventive maintenance programs for machinery, equipment, and vehicles, maintaining detailed maintenance records for compliance and future reference.
    6. Conduct comprehensive analysis of maintenance records to identify machinery, equipment, and vehicles incurring heavy maintenance costs, recommending asset replacements to management for cost optimization.
    7. Arrange submission of estimates for repair and maintenance work following established procedures, ensuring accurate budgeting and cost control.
    8. Ensure regularly inspection and calibration all workshop equipment and tools, maintaining accuracy and reliability in repair and maintenance activities.
    9. Ensure the quality of work performed by workshop staff through regular quality control checks, identifying areas for improvement and addressing repeat repairs and breakdowns.
    10. Optimize component and material stock levels for repair and maintenance activities, minimizing the risk of obsolete inventory and ensuring timely availability of required resources.
    11. Monitor inventory levels of spare parts and consumables required for equipment maintenance, ensuring adequate stock availability to support maintenance activities and minimize equipment downtime due to parts unavailability.
    12. Identify opportunities for process improvements and workflow optimization in the workshop, implementing measures to enhance efficiency and productivity, resulting in cost savings and improved operational performance.
    13. Liaise with external vendors and suppliers to procure spare parts and equipment for workshop operations, negotiating contracts and managing vendor relationships to ensure timely delivery of quality materials and services.
    14. Ensure preparation and submission of periodic progress reports for workshop activities to management, providing insights into performance, challenges, and areas for improvement.
