Qualification & Experience:

Engineering graduate from HEC recognized university with atleast 9 years of experience. PEC registration is mandatory.

Responsibilities:

    The role of this position is to manage civil engineering projects within the Sindh region, ensuring adherence to design specifications, quality standards, and safety protocols by coordinating with various departments, supervising project teams, and ensuring efficient execution of civil works projects.

     

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    1. Plan civil works using construction management techniques to ensure projects are completed within specified timelines while maintaining quality and safety standards.
    2. Schedule construction activities.
    3. Conduct inspections of construction sites to assess project progress and verify compliance with design specifications, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to safety protocols.
    4. Review project drawings and coordinate with the Planning & Development department for feedback and inputs to ensure alignment with project requirements.
    5. Organize preliminary site surveys for planning, preparation, and deployment of manpower, ensuring efficient project execution.
    6. Assess safety risks to comply with the company's Health, Safety & Environment policy and objectives, implementing measures to mitigate risks and ensure a safe working environment.
    7. Facilitate Project Engineers and Construction Coordinators in preparing construction plans covering strategy, methodology, and timelines, obtaining approval from the competent authority.
    8. Review and approve civil works, materials as per tender requirement.
    9. Lead activities to ensure compliance with applicable construction and safety regulations, maintaining high standards of regulatory compliance.
    10. Mobilize appropriate resources for project execution.
    11. Plan construction of site offices to mobilize manpower and commence project work, optimizing resources for project success.
    12. Regularly review progress reports on development work, proactively identifying and resolving emerging issues to ensure project completion within stipulated timelines.
    13. Review contract terms, supervise the process to obtain necessary permits and licenses, ensuring legal compliance for construction activities.
    14. Analyze, manage, and mitigate risks that may cause delays in the construction project, implementing strategies to minimize project disruptions.
    15. Identify and assess risks under their management/ownership.
    16. Develop and implement risk response strategies for the risks under their management.
    17. Monitor risks and response strategies under their management.
