Qualification & Experience:

LLB with 11 years of experience in handling criminal cases with 4 years of bar enrollment.

Candidate must have at least 04 years of experience as a Functional / Team Lead.

Responsibilities:

    JOB SUMMARY

    The purpose of this position is to supervise legal actions taken against the offenders based upon successful counter gas theft operations.  The incumbent is also required to preserve and secure SSGC interest in matters relating to gas theft related legal cases. Should have adequate experience in handling criminal cases as well as civil litigations before the court.

     

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    1. Formulate plans to reduce gas theft through effective and swift legal actions in order to recover the estimated lost revenues and create deterrence for possible offenders.
    2. Submit findings and observations on litigation cases to senior management.
    3. Analyze the trends in gas theft cases and recommend corrective actions and fines for offenders accordingly.
    4. Monitor and supervise on-going prosecution cases and assess damages and impact from gas theft events.
    5. Compile documentary evidence to develop a sound legal case against offenders involved in illegal gas theft activity.

    7. Review legal correspondence and other documentation in the presence of SSGC law officer in each trial case to assist district prosecutor.

    9. Liaise with the local police for the necessary evidence and other findings required for the trial in order to get the best possible outcome for SSGC.
    10. Conduct frequent meetings with representatives of SSGC police station to determine the impediments in the investigation of litigation cases and other issues.
    11. Initiate corrective actions accordingly.
    12. Arrange in house sessions to discuss, review outcome of gas theft related court cases and identify learning opportunities for the future.
    13. The individual shall ensure compliance to the Enterprise Risk Management Framework enforced in the Company while performing job responsibilities in accordance with his assigned role.
    14. The individual shall ensure compliance to the Business Principles and Ethics Policy / Code of Conduct.
    15. Undertake any other task assigned by the management.
